Resident Assistant -- Furman University

Served as an RA for two years in a residence hall and an apartment building. I was responsible for enforcing university policies as well as responding to residents' needs to create a safe and welcoming environment. There was an administrative element as well that involved office management and programming. ​

Research Assistance -- Furman University

​August 2017 - present

 

Work the university's research assistance desk in James B. Duke library. I am able to navigate the 250+ databases the library has access to and communicate with students on what they need to research in order to form searches that will generate the appropriate results.

Student Employee -- Ohio University Human Resources

​July 2017 - August 2017

 

An office position primarily handling new employee orientation for the benefits department of Ohio University Human Resources. ​Responsibilities include binder preparation, sending confirmation emails to new employees, filing, and setting up and tearing down for each orientation session.

Orientation Leader -- Furman University 

June 2017

​

A leader for five groups of incoming freshmen over a period of two weeks. Responsibilities include acquainting them with campus, accompanying them to workshops, and answering questions about life at Furman.

Caregiver -- Julia Dickelman/ Children's Services 

May 2015 - present 

​

A daily companion to a teenager with multiple disabilities. Responsibilities include accompanying them on daily outings, preparation of meals, and entertaining with crafts and educational games. 

​

Student Employee -- Ohio University Culinary Services

December 2013 - May 2014

​

Responsibilities include stocking and cleaning the salad bar, sanitizing dishes, conversing with customers, and filling in where needed.
